Programming station without administrator rights
NC FAQ1066
Question:
Can the programming station be used by users without administrator rights?
Answer:
The user currently logged on to Windows needs at least local administrator rights in order to start the iTNC programming station.
As an alternative, use the following procedure so that any user without admin rights can use our programming station without restrictions.
The following rights need to be stored for the path in which the programming station is located:
Go to C:\iTNCprog and right-click it, select Properties -> Security -> Advanced
Remove the check mark for “Include inheritable permissions...”
Click Add..., click the “Look in” field, and enter the address of your own PC (such as PC45xx)
In the field below that select “Everyone” and click OK to add this setting
Select Full Control, click OK, and exit the dialogs
If you then look at the security settings for this path, all users then have rights to this one path.
Then, if you have not already done so, set up the new user without admin rights.
The user then has to log on to this PC.
