Objectives of the course
- The participants understand the functional principles, the mechanical and electrical design of HEIDENHAIN linear and rotary encoders and digitizing electronics as well as their interaction with the subsequent electronics and the machine tool.
- They find error sources and use the appropriate testing/inspection equipment (PWT and PWM) to locate an error.
- By specific maintenance operations or by replacing entire units or assemblies they are in a position to remove errors from HEIDENHAIN equipment. The possibility of visiting an further course entitled “Encoder Diagnostics” is explained.
- Advanced training: "Encoder diagnostics",
HEIDENHAIN test equipment for encoder diagnostics
