- Establishing a secure connection, exchanging certificates
- Testing of the OPC UA client connection with UaExpert and a virtual control (programming station)
- Configuration of ManufacturerInfo (digital ID label of the machine)
- Extension of the OPC UA NC Server address space using the ManufacturerExtensions
- Setting up custom OEMNamespaces
- Creating objects for structuring the OEM address space
- Integration of PLC variables for read and write access
- Expansion of PLC variables by meta information such as units (EngineeringUnits), value ranges (EURanges), etc.
- Using the rights system of the TNC control to control the access rights for OPC UA client applications
Objectives of the course
- Setting up and testing a secure connection to a HEIDENHAIN control using UaExpert as an example
- Becoming familiar with the HEIDENHAIN information model
- Creating a custom namespace as OEM to provide read and write access to PLC variables
